There are no special requirements for examinations. For patients under 40 years old, an ultrasound (US) is sufficient. For those over 40, a mammogram is required if a recent study is not available. This is a standard, mandatory requirement.
Regarding the impact of fat deposits or cysts on image interpretation, this relates to post-operative follow-up. If the fat graft survives well, is evenly distributed, and is placed in the correct layers of fatty tissue, there are no difficulties with subsequent diagnostics or cyst formation.
However, if the fat is injected incorrectly and cysts form, they can complicate the detection of new breast lesions, creating diagnostic challenges. It is essential to perform the procedure carefully to avoid such issues.
